Dr. Khera is a urologist with nearly 20 years of experience performing clinical and public health research in diverse health care settings. He is currently Director of Laboratory for Andrology Research and Assistant Professor of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. In addition, Dr. Khera is the Medical Director of the Houston Hospital for Specialized Surgery. Dr. Khera has served as a principal investigator or co-investigator on several research projects on clinical areas related to erectile dysfunction, testosterone replacement therapy, fertility, and the treatment of Peyronie’s Disease.

Throughout his career, Dr. Khera has published numerous peer-reviewed journals and book chapters as well as presented research on a variety of clinical areas including prostatectomy, male infertility, low testosterone, erectile dysfunction, sexual dysfunction, hormone replacement therapy, and botulinum toxin. His publications have appeared in the Journal of Urology, Urology, Neurochemistry International, Nature Clinical Practice Urology, BJU International, Urologic Clinics of North America, European Urology, International Journal of Impotence Research, and the Journal of Sexual Medicine. In addition, Dr. Khera has delivered lectures, presentations, and research seminars at various clinical and scientific venues including the American Urological Society, Society of Urodynamics and Female Urology, American Urological Association, Sexual Medicine Society of North America, International Society for the Study of Women’s Health, Canadian Urological Association, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Cincinnati Urologic Society, Tarrant County Family Practice Association in Dallas, and Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston, among others. Moreover, Dr. Khera has been a featured speaker on several television broadcasts and news publications on topics related to couples sexuality, male infertility and sexual health, testosterone replacement, prostate cancer, erectile function, and andropause.

Notable professional memberships for Dr. Khera include the Harris County Medical Society; Indian Doctors Association Board of Directors in Houston, Texas; the American Urological Association; and the American Medical Association. Dr. Khera has been the recipient of several awards and honors, including the Traveling Fellowship Award from the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction, the Cullen Research Award from the Scott Department of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine, the Traveling Fellowship Award from the Sexual Medicine Society, the Resident Travel Award from the Society of Urodynamics and Female Urology, and the American Medical Traveling Grant. In addition, Dr. Khera was voted one of Houston’s best doctors in Health and Sports Fitness Magazine in 2008.

Dr. Khera received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Medicine in San Antonio, Texas. He further completed an internship in the Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, where he also completed his residency at the Scott Department of Urology and his fellowship at the Division of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. In addition, Dr. Khera received his Master of Public Health, Master of Business Administration, and Master of Arts in medical sciences from Boston University. Furthermore, Dr. Khera holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Vanderbilt University.
