• Advance Health Solutions' staff and various board members participate in events at the 140th annual conference of the American Public Health Association (APHA) in San Francisco from October 27-31, 2012.

• Thomas R. Prohaska, Ph.D., a member of the Health Professional Advisory Board at Advance Health Solutions, is awarded the Philip G. Weiler Lifetime Achievement Award for Leadership in Aging and Health from the American Public Health Association (APHA) for his outstanding contributions to the field of aging.

• Michael A. Keefe, M.D., FACS, joins the Health Professional Advisory Board at Advance Health Solutions. Dr. Keefe is the Regional Medical Director for the Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group, Central Region, Vice Chief of Surgery and Chief of Head and Neck Surgery at Sharp Memorial Hospital, as well as Senior Associate Staff at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California. Dr. Keefe has substantial expertise in the areas of reconstructive surgery, facial plastic surgery, cosmetic procedures, facial skin cancer surgery, laser surgery, salivary gland surgery, skull base surgery, sleep apnea, snoring, swallowing disorders, temporomandibular joint disorder, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, thyroid cancer, as well as voice evaluation and treatment.
• Advance Health Solutions' President and CEO, Maryam Navaie, Dr.P.H., and Health Professional Advisory Board members Anita H. Hickey, M.D. and Eric T. Stedje-Larsen, M.D. in collaboration with Eugene G. Lipov, M.D. from Advanced Pain Centers, S.C., in Hoffman Estates, Illinois are featured in a news article entitled "New Research: A Promising Biologic Treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder" by the Medical Care Section of the American Public Health Association.
• The journal Military Medicine accepts for publication an article entitled "Stellate Ganglion Block Improves Refractory Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Associated Memory Dysfunction: A Case Report and Systematic Literature Review" coauthored by Advance Health Solutions' staff (Maryam Navaie, Dr.P.H.) and distinguished Health Professional Advisory Board members (Anita H. Hickey, M.D., Robert N. McLay, M.D., Ph.D. and Eric T. Stedje-Larsen, M.D.) in collaboration with Eugene G. Lipov, M.D. from Advanced Pain Centers, S.C. in Hoffman Estates, Illinois and Peter R. Brown, Psy.D., DAAPM from Brownstone and Associates, LLC in Orland Park, Illinois.
• Advance Health Solutions expands its offices nationally with the goal of more effectively serving its growing and diverse clientele. The firm's west coast headquarters in San Diego relocated to larger office accommodations. In addition, the firm opened its new east coast headquarters in New York City. Additional offices were also opened in Washington, DC. In November 2012, the firm will undergo further expansion with office openings in Chicago, Illinois.
