Dr. McLay is a decorated psychiatrist with extensive experience as a clinical researcher conducting pharmacological and psychological therapies, cost-benefit and utilization reviews, developing screening processes for post-deployment mental health assessments, and developing virtual reality-based treatment modalities for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
• M. Alan Brookhart, Ph.D. joins our Health Professional Advisory Board. As a biostatistician and epidemiologist with over ten years experience as a health care researcher, Dr. Brookhart brings his substantial knowledge-base in developing and applying epidemiologic methods for observational studies of pharmacotherapies using large health care databases, focusing in particular on the determinants of physician prescribing and patient adherence.

• Edna Foa, Ph.D. joins the distinguished team of senior advisors on the Health Professional Advisory Board at Advance Health Solutions. Dr. Foa is an internationally renowned clinical psychologist with extensive research experience on the causes and treatments of anxiety disorders, particularly post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). She is a prolific scholar with over 500 peer-reviewed publications and numerous books to her credit.

This is a case series article detailing patients treated by stellate ganglion block, the first biologic treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder.
