Dr. McLay is a decorated psychiatrist with extensive experience as a clinical researcher conducting pharmacological and psychological therapies, cost-benefit and utilization reviews, developing screening processes for post-deployment mental health assessments, and developing virtual reality-based treatment modalities for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
  • M. Alan Brookhart, Ph.D. joins our Health Professional Advisory Board. As a biostatistician and epidemiologist with over ten years experience as a health care researcher, Dr. Brookhart brings his substantial knowledge-base in developing and applying epidemiologic methods for observational studies of pharmacotherapies using large health care databases, focusing in particular on the determinants of physician prescribing and patient adherence.

This is a case series article detailing patients treated by stellate ganglion block, the first biologic treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder. The study was coauthored by staff members from Advance Health Solutions (Maryam Navaie, Dr.P.H., Jessica C. Smith, M.P.H., and Leighla H. Sharghi, B.S.N., M.P.A.) and distinguished Health Professional Advisory Board members (Anita H. Hickey, M.D. and Eric T. Stedje-Larsen, M.D.) in collaboration with Eugene G.
