• Edna Foa, Ph.D. joins the distinguished team of senior advisors on the Health Professional Advisory Board at Advance Health Solutions. Dr. Foa is an internationally renowned clinical psychologist with extensive research experience on the causes and treatments of anxiety disorders, particularly post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). She is a prolific scholar with over 500 peer-reviewed publications and numerous books to her credit.
• The Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society has designated the research study conducted collaboratively by Advance Health Solutions staff (Maryam Navaie, Dr.P.H., Jessica C. Smith, M.P.H., and Leighla H. Sharghi, B.S.N., M.P.A.) and Health Professional Advisory Board members Anita H. Hickey, M.D. and Eric T. Stedje-Larsen, M.D. in collaboration with Eugene G. Lipov, M.D. and colleagues from Advanced Pain Centers, S.C. in Hoffman Estates, Illinois entitled "Local Anesthetics Offer First Biologic Treatment for PTSD" as one of their top presentations for discussion during the Regional and Acute Pain moderated session to be held during the annual meeting in Quebec City, Canada in June 2012.
